Lagos Life App: Do You Need to Download It?
Is there a Lagos Life app? The game plays free in your browser on phone and desktop. How to open it, add a shortcut, and avoid fake download pages.
Lagos Life does not need an app download. The official site describes it as a game you can “play free in your browser”, so on a phone, tablet or computer you open the website and play. Searches for a “Lagos Life app” or “how to download Lagos Life” are really searches for that website.
What the official site says
The official Lagos Life page calls the game “a Sims-style life game set in Lagos” and ends its pitch with “Play free in your browser.” That is the whole installation process: there is no launcher, no client and no file to run. We checked the official page on October 6, 2026.
Is there an app-store version?
As of October 6, 2026 we have not found an official Lagos Life listing in the Apple App Store or Google Play. That can change, and we will note it here if the developers announce one. Until then, treat any store listing or “installer” that claims to be Lagos Life with suspicion and check that it leads back to the official site.
How to open it on your phone
- Open your normal mobile browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge).
- Go to the official Lagos Life website, linked from our how to play guide.
- Sign up or continue as a guest, then start playing.
Landscape mode gives you more of the map on a small screen, and a stable connection matters more than a powerful phone, since the game runs in the browser.
Add a home-screen shortcut
If you want to launch the game like an app, your browser can pin the website to your home screen. This is a general browser feature, not something specific to Lagos Life, and it only creates a shortcut to the website:
- iPhone or iPad (Safari): tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome): open the browser menu, then choose Add to Home screen or Install app if it is offered.
- Desktop (Chrome or Edge): use the install or shortcut option in the address bar or menu if it appears.
Avoid fake downloads
Because the game is browser-only, any page that asks you to download a file, enter a “license key” or pay for access is not part of the real game. Accounts are free, naira cannot be cashed out, and nobody needs to hand over a password to “unlock” anything. Our login and account guide lists how to recognise the official address.
