Lagos Life Transport and Flights: Danfo, Okada, Cab, Airport
How to get around in Lagos Life: danfo, keke, okada and cab prices and speeds, driving your own car, and travelling between Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Lagos Life lets you get around on foot, by keke, danfo, okada, cab or your own car, and between cities by plane, night bus or driving. Every trip has a price and a travel time, and both change with distance and traffic. The numbers below come from the game’s data and the in-game travel panel, checked on October 6, 2026.
Getting around a city
| Option | Starting price | Added per km | Speed | Go-slow impact | In the game’s words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trek (walk) | Free | none | 12 min per km | none | “Free, but slow, and long walks tire you out.” |
| Keke | ₦100 | ₦5 | 3.4 min per km | high | “Three people on the back bench.” |
| Danfo | ₦100 | ₦5 | 3 min per km | full | “Enter with your change!” |
| Okada | ₦150 | ₦8 | 2 min per km | low | “Fast. Hold on tight.” |
| Cab | ₦300 | ₦15 | 2.3 min per km | full | “AC and comfort.” |
| Your car | none | ₦6 for fuel | 2.1 min per km | high | “Daddy’s Prado. You only pay for fuel.” |
When you pick a destination on the map, the panel shows each option’s price. From Amala Shitta we saw Trek free, Keke ₦100, Danfo ₦100, Okada ₦200 and Cab ₦350 for the trip we selected. The game also tracks traffic with go-slow states that run from a free road to a serious go-slow, which slows down danfo, cab and keke more than okada.
“Your car” is only available if you own one; the cars guide lists all 26 vehicles with fuel costs. Nepo Babies start with one; others can buy a car at Polanco Motors on Victoria Island.
Travelling between cities
Every place card shows three ways to reach it from another city: a flight, a coach and a night bus. We took the coach and the night-bus route and looked at the flight booking page on October 6, 2026.
| Route | Coach | Night bus | Flight (Economy, cab included) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lagos to Port Harcourt | from ₦20,000 | ₦25,000 | from ₦121,000 |
| Port Harcourt to Abuja | ₦22,500 to ₦23,000 | ₦25,000 | from ₦141,000 |
| Abuja to Lagos | from ₦22,000 | ₦25,000 | from ₦151,000 |
A coach fare includes a shuttle of about ₦350 from your starting place to the motor park. Coaches leave from Jibowu in Lagos, Waterlines in Port Harcourt and Jabi in Abuja.
The coach ride
You pick a company, such as ABC Transport, Young Shall Grow, Chisco or RTC, and book with the ride included. Then a 3D bus cabin appears with three cameras (Chase, Side and Inside), the kilometres left, landmarks with star ratings (Ore, Benin City, Ojota and Gwagwalada on our routes) and small events like two aunties arguing about the price of rice.
- How long it takes: the trip panel shows about an hour (651 km Lagos to Port Harcourt in 1 h 04 min; 652 km Port Harcourt to Abuja in 56 min). If you leave the ride running, the game fast-forwards and you arrive within a few game minutes.
- Do not press Esc during the ride. It cancels the trip and refunds the ticket, which sends you back to where you started. We did this once by accident.
- Travel insurance: a tick box adds ₦1,950 to ₦2,250 and covers the game’s “1 in 8 bags vanish” chance, which is about 8.3%. For Lagos to Port Harcourt the total was ₦21,800: a ₦19,500 ticket, ₦350 shuttle and ₦1,950 insurance.
Flights
The Departures board has three tabs: Air, My jet and Chopper. For Air you choose a destination and a cabin. We looked at the booking page from Eagle Square in Abuja and did not buy.
| Cabin | Price from Abuja to Lagos |
|---|---|
| Economy | ₦150,000 |
| Premium Economy | ₦270,000 |
| Business | ₦600,000 |
| First | ₦1,350,000 (needs a net worth of ₦1.4 million) |
The base fares are ₦150,000 between Lagos and Abuja, ₦120,000 between Lagos and Port Harcourt and ₦140,000 between Abuja and Port Harcourt, plus an airport cab of ₦500 to ₦650 that is included in the ticket. The cabins cost 1×, 1.8×, 4× and 9× the base fare. The flight shows about an hour, but in play it is quick: about 2 seconds for the cab, 20 seconds for boarding and 32 seconds in the air.
In Port Harcourt
Inside the city, the options on the map are Bus ₦100, Okada ₦150 and Blue cab ₦350. Port Harcourt also has random rain: an umbrella seller appears, and you can shelter for free, buy an umbrella for ₦1,000 or run through the rain and get wet.
Tips
- Short trips: walk if you have the time, otherwise keke or danfo is the cheapest paid option.
- In a hurry or in a go-slow: okada.
- Night trips home from Quilox or the Shrine: check your energy first, because long walks tire you out.
See all places and opening hours before you leave, since many places close.
