Lagos Life UNILAG: Enrolment, School Fees and Classes
How the University of Lagos works in Lagos Life: the ₦35,000 enrolment fee, ₦20,000 fees per level, class times (Mon–Fri 8–18) and the 31 campus activities.
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is the one place in Lagos Life where you can study for a degree: matriculate, pay fees, attend lectures, sit exams and graduate with a class of degree. It is in Akoka, Yaba, and its place card lists 31 things to do. This page covers the costs and rules we collected on October 6, 2026 from the game’s data tables and the place card.
How studying works
- Apply and matriculate. The activity takes 30 minutes, needs a Social level of at least 8 and costs a ₦35,000 enrolment fee. You choose a course; each course shows its faculty and how many years it lasts.
- Pay school fees. Fees are ₦20,000 per level. After paying, the game confirms “Your 100L fees are paid”.
- Go to class. A lecture takes 60 minutes (Fun −4, Social +6, Energy −4). Lectures run only Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00. Evenings and weekends have the Evening Tutorial Class instead.
- Sit exams. The semester exam takes 90 minutes (Fun −10, Energy −8). Check your result on the Portal.
- Move up. After passing, you pay the new session’s fees at the Senate. When you graduate, your degree class depends on your CGPA (First Class and so on), and you get a graduation mood boost of +45 for 72 hours.
What else is on campus
UNILAG has 31 activities in all. A student can read in the Main Library, join Night Reading (TDB), photocopy past questions, type coursemates’ assignments, tutor 100L students, play five-a-side at the Sports Centre, jog round the track, join the Inter-Hall Games, attend an SUG campaign rally, play Whot, or just yarn with coursemates and do group study under the tree. Food is cheap: rice, beans and dodo, jollof spaghetti and egg, bread and akara, and pure water and gala. You can also earn on campus, for example by frying puff-puff to sell, selling recharge cards and data, braiding hair in the hall or helping Mama B serve at the buka. A graduation photo gig pays ₦500 plus ₦300 for each level of your photography skill.
What a degree gets you
Some player guides report that a degree lets you start a new career at level 2 instead of level 1 when you switch jobs. We have not confirmed it. See the jobs and salaries guide.
Living at UNILAG
A student can live in the Hall of Residence for ₦1,200 a week, the cheapest home in the game, and starts with ₦14,000. Details are in the housing guide. The hall is meant only for UNILAG students.
What we have not confirmed
We read the costs and rules from the game’s data and the place card, but we did not finish enrolling ourselves, because the map pin was blocked when we tried. Course names, how long a semester lasts in real time and the exact CGPA scale are not confirmed yet. Opening hours for UNILAG are 24 hours, but classes follow the schedule above.
